Ethiopia

Kalkidan is a full orphan who has been raised by her grandmother after her parents went missing. Being raised in a female-headed household, Kalkidan is at significant risk of having to drop out of her education to pursue a job at a young age. Though she has dreams of becoming a doctor, her grandmother's miminal income of preparing injera and selling it on the streets is not enough to provide for Kalkidan's education.
