Samrawit lives at home with her mother in a severely under-resourced community of Addis Ababa, the capital city in Ethiopia. Sadly, her father passed away when she was younger, and her mother recently developed a health condition that impacts her ability to work. Without support, Samrawit is at risk of having to drop out of school at her young age, likely working as a caretaker, to help support her family.
