Mahlet lives with her mother and sibling in an impoverished neighborhood of Addis Ababa. Sadly, her father passed away when she was younger and her mother struggles to support the family off of her meager wages doing daily labor. Without support, they cannot afford to send Mahlet to school, putting this sweet girl's education at risk.
